Bandhini is a hand loomed textile product that is driven and created using age old manual techniques rarely seen today. Families of crafts people make our ideas at Bandhini possible. They maintain the skill of hand weaving with love and passion even as the age of the power loom floods the market. Weavers master their craft using 100 year old machines that require the use of both hand and foot to propel the shutter and its thread to create a weave - some of which are even created by memory. Our beaders and embroiders deftly apply bead and thread to cloth that develops into our feature pieces. We admire their skill, are taken aback by their technique as we see our designs manifest. Bandhini is mare than just another product, it is a combination of passion, close knit families and a desire to maintain true to ourselves
